Leave it to our Government to take a big step – backwards?

I’m fairly certain that in the weeks and months to come, those who are curious (or knowledgeable) will get down with the new regime of 2013 pretty quickly. Others, who are more into ‘receiving freebies’ rather than learning and earning will ‘learn’ in due time. America, you see, has been kicked down the street! Americans, each in their  turn, may be soon be sold down the river!

In the simplest of terms, we originally formed a Republic with a government to take care of interstate commerce and to protect our shores. (It’s in the Constitution, trust me). A good and honest paper. Maybe we all need to read it again...

But somewhere along the way, lo these past hundred years or so, the American people lost interest in watching and policing the Republic they founded and now they face a new and a stark reality.

The truth be told, the government of the United States of America has grown sick. Very, very sick. Moreover, she' grown a bit cancerous, hasn't she? And, just look at what she's ate as of late! A diet rich in self importance; one that's lead her now to morbid obesity via over-regulation and a much inflated sense of self importance. Is it any wonder that the world now looks at us with strange eyes?

Unfortunately, I feel that soon this bloated and cancerous and useless governance will overreach its ability to sustain itself and so will then begin to ultimately kill its host by sucking out the life juices of a Nation. (I fear, even now, that parts of our great Republic are already turning gangrenous if one were to but look closely).

Call me paranoid, but think a moment! How do you, my readers feel even as you read this. Is all well in the Land of Plenty?
