Now that We the People have made our decision as to what
direction America will be taking – i.e. socialism, I thought it would be
interesting to see just where we’re actually headed. Above is a recent graph that depicts the
unemployment rates for some Euro countries. You’ll notice that the
socialist run (or leaning towards) countries of Spain, Portugal and Greece aren’t faring so well. (Note: Portugal is not shown, but it's currently at 15.8% as of the third quarter). Hmmm.
Now, I’m sure that some how and some way, our Great Divider,
President Obama will find a way to avert what has befallen other countries that
tread the mega-government role model. (I’m saying this even as there is news
today that we are on track for yet another trillion dollars in deficit spending).
But, just how far in the future, I wonder, will be the announcement of our own national ‘austerity’ measures? I also wonder how well the typical democrat will take such measures. Will there be riots in the streets? Will I ever get to say ‘I told you so’?
