The ant and the grasshopper!

While I did not write this or even know who did...I so agree with the meanings...

The ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER
This one is a little different....
Two Different Versions ... Two Different Morals

  The Old Version...

The
ant works
hard in the withering heat all summer long,
building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The
grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool
and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the
ant is warm
and well fed.

The
grasshopper has
no food or shelter, so he
dies out in the cold.

Moral of the old story:

Be responsible for yourself!

Now the Modern Version:

.
.
.

The
ant works
hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long,
building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The
grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool
and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering
grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be
allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN,
and ABC show up to
provide pictures of the shivering
grasshopper next to a video of the ant
in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can it be, that in a country of such wealth,
this poor
grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog
appears on Oprah
with the
grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green...'

'Occupy the Anthill' stages
a demonstration in front of the
ant's house
where the news stations film the
SEIU group singing
"We shall overcome."

Then
Rev. Jeremiah Wright
has the group kneel down to pray for the
grasshopper's sake,
while he damns the
ants.

President Obama
condemns the ant
and blames
President Bush 43, President Bush 41, President Reagan,
Christopher Columbus,
and the Pope

for the
grasshopper's plight..

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid
exclaim in an interview with Larry King
that the
ant has gotten rich
off the back of
the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant
to make him pay his 'fair share.'

Finally, the EEOC drafts
the Economic Equity &
Anti-Grasshopper Act
retroactive to the beginning of
the summer.

The
ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number
of
green bugs and,
having
nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes,
his home is confiscated by the Government
Green Czar
and given
to the grasshopper.

The story ends as we see the
grasshopper
and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant's food
while the government house he is
in,
which, as you recall,  just happens to be the
ant's old house,
crumbles around them because the
grasshopper doesn't maintain it.

The
ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The
grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident,
and the house, now abandoned,
is taken over
by a gang of spiders who terrorize
the ramshackle, once prosperous
and peaceful neighborhood.

The entire
Nation collapses
bringing the rest
of the free world with it.

THE MORAL OF THIS STORY?

This is how the nation voted in 2012!

I've posted this to you because I believe that my readers are
ants & not grasshoppers!

Please pass
this message on to the other
ants.
Let's regroup and clean out Congress
in 2014 !!!
(AND WE NEED TO BEGIN NOW!)

Here's a hint:

"TRUTH IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD"

SPIDERS, like COMMUNISTS, SOCIALISTS, BIG BANKERS and DEMOCRATS, avoid strong daylight.

LET'S SHINE THE LIGHT UPON THEM !!!

Look out America! Your right to defend yourself is being sold down the river!

The arms trade treaty being hammered out by the United Nations is nearing completion, and the current draft shows it could lead to perpetual attacks on the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment and American foreign policy, critics say.

The document, which critics say has been framed by countries hostile to U.S. interests, allows for future amendments to be approved by just two-thirds of states showing up at an amendment conference. That means it could be agreed to by the U.S., put into effect and then changed over Washington's objections. And even if the U.S. Senate refuses to ratify it, the deal could have a huge impact on the global arms trade, where the U.S. is the biggest player.

My Take: Just how impossibly stupid is this? I can think of no faster way for a revolution to begin, than to listen to ANYTHING that is offered by this claptrap and retarded group of idiots otherwise known as the United Nations.

This load of crap has Obama's presence and irksome smell all over it.

As Europe slides beneath the waves...can America be far behind?

Europeans must surely be wondering as measures for an austerity program, drafted in Germany, become widely known by an electorate of cash strapped governments. Citizens of countries like Greece, which have seen widespread unemployment and a dramatic loss of wages, are now being told that things will get worst...a lot worst, in the days ahead. The leadership there faces a stark reality; either stay the internationally-prescribed course and receive further support; or go cold turkey and exit the eurozone. Either way, the suffering will be great! To say that the people there are in a foul and volatile mood would also be accurate, especially considering that the leadership in Athens must come up with another 15 billion in cuts next month just to keep the creditors happy.

Countries like Italy are now seeing a resurgence in the popularity of far left and far right fringe groups, both of which have done well in recent elections. Elsewhere, increasing unemployment is sending younger voters flocking to the political margins. They're willing to listen to anyone who says they have a plan out of the mess that millions now find themselves in. A situation not too unlike the conditions Germany found itself in just prior to the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party.

All of this chaos stands as a warning beacon to everyone in the United States, that they too are headed to a similar fate. One has to wonder just how far off on the horizon a major revolution and world war will be...
